Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, and planting to ensure healthy growth and vibrant landscapes
- Operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and power tools safely and efficiently for various landscaping projects
- Use equipment like excavators for digging, grading, or installing features such as patios or retaining walls
- Perform lawn care duties including aeration, fertilization, watering, and weed control to maintain lush green spaces
- Support tree care activities such as trimming, pruning, planting, or removal to promote safety and health
- Help with irrigation system installation, repairs, and maintenance to ensure proper watering of landscapes
- Conduct seasonal tasks like snow plowing and de-icing to keep properties safe during winter months
Qualifications
- Prior experience or interest in landscaping, gardening, or construction work is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated learners
- Basic mechanical knowledge of tools and equipment used in landscape maintenance
- Familiarity with lawn care practices and landscape maintenance techniques
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and responsibly
- Knowledge of horticulture principles or experience with tree care is a plus
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions throughout the year
- Strong work ethic with attention to safety procedures and detail-oriented approach
