Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Detroit, MI for a Local CDL Truck Driver / Warehouse Associate. The role involves safely operating company semi-trucks for local distribution deliveries from our warehouse, to locations in Roseville, Westland, and Dearborn Heights. Daily tasks could include loading and unloading trucks, inspecting vehicles before and after trips, and maintaining proper documentation in compliance with DOT regulations. In the warehouse, the associate will assist with organizing inventory, staging orders, moving pallets and product, and keeping work areas clean and safe. The role requires close coordination with warehouse peers, supervisors, and on location cooler associates to support efficient operations and high-quality service.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record; candidates should possess CDL Class A and Truck Driving skills. Having a valid CDL Class A is a non-negotiable for this role.
- Experience operating commercial trucks and handling freight; candidates should be proficient in Unloading and basic truck operation and safety.
- Knowledge of DOT Regulations and the ability to follow all federal, state, and company transportation rules and policies.
- Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections, basic troubleshooting, and complete trip logs and delivery paperwork accurately.
- Physical capability to lift, move, and stack boxes and pallets of produce and other goods throughout the workday.
- Strong reliability, punctuality, and attention to safety, with the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse and delivery environment.
- Effective communication skills and a cooperative attitude when working with dispatch, warehouse teams, and customers.
- Prior experience in grocery, produce, or warehouse operations would be beneficial; high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
