We are seeking a polished, energetic, and detail-oriented Server Assistant to join our exceptional service team.
As a Joe Muer Server Assistant, you play an essential role in creating a seamless fine dining experience. You will work closely with servers, bartenders, sommeliers, and the culinary team to anticipate guest needs, maintain immaculate tables, and ensure every course is delivered and cleared with precision. Your attention to detail, sense of urgency, and commitment to teamwork will help set the tone for an unforgettable evening.
Key Responsibilities:
- Table Preparation: Set and reset tables according to Joe Muer Seafood’s fine dining standards, ensuring all glassware, silverware, linens, and table settings are polished and properly placed.
- Service Support: Assist servers throughout each guest’s dining experience by delivering water, bread, beverages, and menu items promptly and professionally.
- Fine Dining Execution: Perform proper marking of silverware, synchronized clearing, crumbing, and course preparation with precision and attention to timing.
- Guest Awareness: Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly to requests, and communicate important information to the server or management team.
- Dining Room Maintenance: Keep tables, service stations, floors, and surrounding dining areas clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout service.
- Food and Beverage Delivery: Support the accurate and timely delivery of food and beverages while following proper presentation and handling procedures.
- Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly with servers, bartenders, sommeliers, hosts, management, and the culinary team to maintain a smooth, high-energy service.
- Closing Responsibilities: Assist with cleaning, polishing, restocking, and preparing the dining room for the next service.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: Previous restaurant, hospitality, food runner, busser, or server assistant experience is preferred. Fine dining or high-volume restaurant experience is a plus.
- The Fine Dining Mindset: Strong attention to detail, a polished and professional demeanor, and a genuine desire to provide exceptional hospitality.
