Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Automotive Service Manager with Hyundai/Kia experience to lead our service department. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and drive profitability through effective management of service technicians, parts, and repair processes. Your leadership will inspire a high-performing team dedicated to delivering top-quality automotive repairs and maintenance.
Duties
- Manage all aspects of the service department, including workflow, scheduling, and technician assignments to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Oversee automotive diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance services such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, alignments, suspension work, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs
- Lead and motivate a team of service technicians by providing coaching, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of workmanship
- Develop and implement upselling strategies to enhance revenue while maintaining transparency and integrity with customers
- Ensure accurate auto estimating and service writing to facilitate smooth billing processes and customer trust
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and dealership policies while fostering a positive work environment
- Handle customer inquiries and concerns promptly to promote loyalty and repeat business
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in auto service management
- Extensive knowledge of automotive repair including transmissions, oil changes, brake systems, alignments, suspension components, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, and auto body repair
- Experience working with Hyundai/Kia vehicles is highly preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills
- Ability to manage service technicians effectively while ensuring quality control
- Skilled in auto estimating, service writing, and automotive diagnostics
- Demonstrated ability in upselling vehicle maintenance services ethically and effectively
- Strong Customer Service Skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
