Cafe Supervisor
Position Summary
The Cafe Supervisor leads the operations of a Joe Coffee shop that may be a “light asset” in either volume, operating hours, or public access. The Café Supervisor ensures customers receive excellent coffee and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
Cafe Performance & Financial Management

Achieve café performance metrics

Achieve financial goals for the café, including revenue growth and expense management leading to profitability

Review operations and financial reports to identify opportunities to improve the business
Hospitality & Customer Experience
-
Cultivate a welcoming and exciting environment centered around our craft
-
Demonstrate excellent hospitality to everyone in the café
People Leadership

Recruit, onboard, coach, develop, and inspire staff on a daily basis
-
Work with the store’s coffee educators to educate staff on Joe Coffee and products
-
Write and update staff schedules that meet the demands of the business
Administrative Duties

Maintain cleanliness of the café and café equipment, and establish schedules for regular maintenance

Submit operations summaries to various departments and leaders

Manage vendor relationships

Actively participate in manager meetings

Qualifications:Relevant Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

Prior coffee experience

1–2 years of experience managing people

1–2 years of experience in the hospitality industry

Financial acumen, including reading a P&L and driving financial performance metrics

Ability to lead a team and cultivate a positive work environment

Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills

Ability to be flexible and adapt to change

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
