Responsibilities
- Thoroughly wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment using proper dishwashing techniques and sanitizing procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas to ensure compliance with sanitation standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and ensuring dining areas remain tidy and welcoming
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow food safety management protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure proper food handling practices
- Perform routine maintenance checks on kitchen appliances and report any malfunctions promptly
Requirements
- Prior food service or restaurant experience is preferred, a strong willingness to learn is valued
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation standards in a restaurant setting
