Are you looking for a hands-on opportunity to put your carpentry skills to use? We are seeking a talented Carpenter's apprentice to join our team of skilled professionals. In this role, you will work under the guidance and supervision of experienced carpenters while receiving on-the-job training to develop your skills and knowledge.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Assist carpenters in the construction and repair of structures
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment
- Site Prep: Clear away debris, set up protective coverings, and help build scaffolding or ladders
- Material Handling: Unload, carry, and organize lumber, tools, and hardware
- Basic Assembly: Measure and cut wood with saws, drill holes, and hold pieces steady while the lead carpenter fastens them
- Cleanup: Clean tools, sweep the work area, and safely dispose of trash
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience in a carpentry or construction setting
- Experience using a variety of hand and power tools
- Your own set of hand tools preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Must have excellent physical stamina and be able to lift 50 lbs or more and stand, kneel, or climb all day.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Good communication skills
- Punctuality and strong work ethic
- Reliable Transportation and valid driver’s license
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
