Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. In this role, you will work with patients of various ages, primarily focusing on pediatrics, to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders. You will play a crucial role in improving communication skills and enhancing the quality of life for your patients through tailored therapy programs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify speech and language disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Implement evidence-based speech therapy techniques to facilitate communication improvement.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide early intervention services for children with developmental delays.
- Educate patients and their families on strategies to support communication development at home.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with medical standards.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to speech and language disorders.
- Experience or coursework in pediatrics is preferred, particularly in school settings.
- Understanding of anatomy and physiology related to speech production mechanisms.
- Ability to perform patient assessments effectively while demonstrating excellent patient care skills.
- Familiarity with early intervention strategies for children is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and their families.
