What is the position?
The Pricing Business Analyst role bridges operations, sales, and IT, using data insights and AI tools to enhance pricing strategies, purchasing decisions, and profitability. This position plays a central role in analytics, system management, and driving smarter decision-making across departments.
What are the responsibilities?
As a Pricing Business Analyst, you will:
- Analyze pricing, purchasing, and sales data to identify opportunities for improved margins
- Apply AI and forecasting tools to guide dynamic pricing and product mix strategies
- Develop reports and dashboards with IBM Cognos and other BI platforms to support business decisions
- Administer ERP and routing systems, ensuring data accuracy and user access management
- Support IT functions including Microsoft 365 administration and system onboarding for new hires
- Maintain the online ordering platform and generate customer reports for internal and external use
What are the requirements?
- Bachelor's degree or 1-2 years of experience
- Strong analytical skills with experience using AI tools for problem-solving
- Proficient in BI software (e.g., IBM Cognos), Excel, and data visualization
- Familiarity with ERP and routing systems
- Understanding of pricing strategies, sales data, and margin optimization
- Effective communicator with cross-functional collaboration skills and willingness to learn
