The Jocelyn Benson for Governor campaign is looking to hire a full-time Deputy National Finance Director based in Ferndale, MI.
Position Overview: The Deputy National Finance Director will be a key member of the finance team responsible for managing the portfolio of national fundraising events and trips and identifying potential supporters from around the country.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with National Finance Director in developing and executing national finance program and in managing the operations of the finance department
- Help hire and manage finance staff and fundraising consultants
- Oversee national fundraising events schedule and the team’s execution of events
- Cultivate, build, and maintain relationships with high level donors
- Staff events and candidate as needed (national travel will be required)
Qualifications:
- At least 2 cycles of campaign fundraising experience
- Prior event planning, donor maintenance, and principal management/staffing experience
- Prior working experience with NGP 8, ActBlue, Word, and Google Sheets/ Excel
- Strong writing, organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, responsiveness, and passion for the work
- Flexible and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Access to cell phone, laptop, a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask and prioritize projects
- Ability to manage multiple projects and team members simultaneously
- Desire and ability to work long campaign hours, including evenings, weekends, and irregular hours
Compensation: $7,500-$8,500/month commensurate with experience. Employer Paid Group Medical and Dental Insurance provided through Blue Cross Blue Shield of MI.
