Duties
- Lead the development and execution of bridge engineering projects from conception through construction, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards are met.
- Manage project schedules using advanced tools such as Project Management software to coordinate resources, milestones, and deliverables effectively.
- Oversee the preparation of technical documentation, including reports, specifications, and construction documents utilizing CAD platforms like AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Bluebeam.
- Coordinate with geotechnical engineers, system designers, and construction teams to integrate civil engineering principles with geotechnical considerations for durable bridge structures.
- Conduct or review structural analysis using FEA (Finite Element Analysis) software to optimize system design for safety and performance.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards by applying knowledge of civil engineering practices, construction methods, and system design principles.
- Mentor junior engineers and technical staff in drafting, project engineering tasks, and technical writing to foster professional growth.
- Engage in project scheduling activities to align resources efficiently across multiple disciplines such as GIS mapping, civil engineering design, and technical drafting.
- Support business development efforts by preparing proposals that highlight innovative solutions utilizing tools like Mathcad for calculations or Civil 3D for detailed modeling.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; PE license preferred.
- Proven experience leading bridge or large-scale civil infrastructure projects with a focus on system design and construction management.
- Strong proficiency in project scheduling tools and techniques to manage complex timelines effectively.
- Expertise in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Bluebeam for drafting and documentation purposes.
- Familiarity with structural analysis software such as FEA programs to evaluate load capacity and safety margins.
- Knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles relevant to bridge foundations and abutments.
- Experience with GIS applications for site analysis and project planning.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to produce clear technical writing and coordinate multidisciplinary teams seamlessly.
