Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Overhead Door Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience installing, repairing, and maintaining residential and commercial overhead doors, openers, and related systems. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, excellent customer service, and a commitment to safe, high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain residential and commercial overhead doors, operators, dock equipment, and security gates.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and structural issues and provide effective solutions.
Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and safety checks.
Communicate professionally with customers to explain issues, recommend products, and provide service updates.
Ensure all work meets company standards for quality, safety, and efficiency.
Maintain accurate service records, invoices, and documentation.
Operate company tools, equipment, and vehicles responsibly and safely.
Support a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Prior experience in overhead door installation or related mechanical trade preferred (but willing to train the right candidate).
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work at heights, lift heavy materials, and perform physical tasks.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Willingness to comply with safety standards and company policies.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
