Responsibilities
- Serve as technical lead on customer engagements, working closely with sales executives during the sales cycle
- Conduct discovery sessions with prospects to understand security requirements, challenges, site conditions, existing systems (VMS, access control, PSIM)
- Architect end-to-end solutions combining company radars, AI software, AI appliances, integration with cameras/VMS, and network infrastructure
- Lead product demos, proof-of-concepts (POCs), pilots, and field trials
- Provide technical proposals, ROI/ TCO analysis, and competitive comparisons
- Assist in RFIs / RFPs, technical requirements documents, and responses
- Work with engineering / product to validate custom requirements, feedback phases, and feature requests
- Support post-sales handover, aiding integration teams and helping ensure successful deployments
- Train internal stakeholders, sales teams, or channel partners on Magos solutions and differentiators
- Stay updated on market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies in radar, AI, and perimeter security
Must-haves / Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline
- 3–7 years (or more) of experience as a Sales Engineer, Solution Engineer, or Technical Pre-Sales role (ideally in security, surveillance, or sensor systems)
- Deep knowledge of radar / sensor technologies, or willingness to learn
- Familiarity with video analytics, AI classification, camera systems, VMS / PSIM integration
- Experience with system integration (networking, protocols, communications, I/O, Ethernet)
- Ability to translate customer technical requirements into architecture and solution proposals
- Strong presentation and demonstration skills; comfortable in customer-facing settings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness and ability to travel (domestic and occasional international)
- Experience in perimeter security, intrusion detection systems, or physical security domain
- Familiarity with field deployments under challenging environmental conditions (temperature extremes, outdoor installations)
- Exposure to low-power / low-bandwidth communications and field hardware (e.g. PoE, embedded systems)
- Understanding of security operations, alarm management, false alarm reduction strategies
- Help our client differentiate in a competitive security market by clearly articulating the technical edge (e.g. low false alarms, all-weather radar, minimal infrastructure)
- Increase conversion rates by de-risking deals through technically sound solutions, successful POCs, and confidence in integration
- Reduce post-deployment issues by ensuring proper planning, requirements capture, and smooth handover
- Strengthen companys reputation in critical infrastructure verticals (data centers, solar farms, ports, etc.) with technically solid, scalable solutions
- Reports to VP of Sales / Technical Sales
- Close collaboration with sales, product management, R&D/engineering, project delivery, and channel / partner teams
