Job Description
The Operations Manager will lead the Operations & Service Departments, ensuring quality installations, strong client satisfaction, operational efficiency, and financial performance. Reporting to the VP of Operations, this role has accountability for branch Operations & Service results and works closely with local leadership, sales, and field teams to support business growth and successful project execution.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute operational and market strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Lead, coach, develop, and hold Operations & Service personnel accountable for performance.
- Establish short- and long-term department goals and appropriate staffing levels.
- Drive revenue growth, margin improvement, cost control, and operational efficiency.
- Monitor project performance to ensure installations are completed safely, on time, on budget, and to quality standards.
- Forecast labor capacity, service and installation demand, growth opportunities, and operational risks.
- Build a service-first culture focused on accountability, collaboration, responsiveness, and continuous improvement.
- Evaluate and improve tools, processes, service standards, warehouse operations, and quality-control practices.
- Partner with sales and operations leaders on multi-discipline sales and execution strategies.
- Maintain strong client relationships, monitor satisfaction, and resolve service, project, and collection issues.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, licensing, and company requirements.
- Maintain expertise in building technology systems, controls, integration protocols, analytics, and connected building ecosystems.
- Identify emerging customer needs and opportunities for new service offerings.
- Lead performance management, hiring, onboarding, training, and employee development initiatives.
- Maintain accurate project records and protect company assets.

Qualifications
- 5 years of operations leadership experience overseeing complex enterprise security integration or service technology projects.
- Progressive project management and project leadership experience.
- Post-secondary education; diploma or bachelor's degree in management preferred.
- Knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and operational best practices.
- 5 years of experience with project planning, risk management, cost and schedule management, financial performance, and KPI reporting.
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass required pre-employment screening.
- Experience managing multi-million-dollar low-voltage projects, particularly integrated security, structured cabling, or audiovisual systems.
- Experience developing service-business growth strategies and conducting market or competitive analysis.
- Strong cross-functional leadership across sales, operations, and field teams.
- Experience with enterprise security platforms such as Avigilon, Axis, Genetec, Lenel, or Milestone.
- Commercial sales, estimating, or design experience.
- PMP certification preferred.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is a plus.

Additional Information
- Compensation: $160,000-$200,000 Salary, Bonus (DOE)
- Schedule: Generally Monday-Friday, with overtime or on-call work as needed
- Travel: Limited overnight domestic travel may be required
