Overview
The Workday Security Architect will lead the redesign and optimization of a large enterprise Workday security environment. This consultant will assess the current structure, define best practices, and implement a cleaner, more scalable framework. The role includes leading design sessions with stakeholders to clarify requirements, improve governance, and align access with business and compliance needs.
Key Responsibilities
Lead design sessions with stakeholders to gather requirements and define the security structure.
Assess the existing security architecture and identify opportunities for simplification and standardization.
Redesign and implement a best-practice security framework that supports scalability and compliance.
Define governance standards and document the new security architecture for long-term sustainability.
Collaborate with HCM, reporting, and integrations teams to ensure alignment across functions.
Lead testing and validation to ensure accurate and compliant access controls.
Partner with customer stakeholders to ensure successful adoption and enablement.
Requirements
Qualifications
7 years of Workday experience with a focus on Security Architecture and Configuration.
Strong expertise in domain and business process security, role-based access, and intersection security.
Experience leading design workshops and translating requirements into security solutions.
Ability to advise on Workday security best practices and governance.
Excellent communication and documentation skills, with experience working directly in customer environments.
Preferred: Workday Pro Security certification; exposure to Core HCM.
