Job Overview
Technical Responsibilities (Primary Focus)
- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end Workday HCM integrations using EIB, Core Connectors, Studio, and Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST APIs).
- Build and support inbound and outbound integrations including Worker, Payroll, Benefits, and Learning data across multiple vendor systems.
- Implement and manage Workday Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) integrations for sending worker demographic, payroll contributions, and YTD data to external vendors.
- Develop and enhance PECI (Payroll Effective Change Interface) integrations to transmit payroll changes and audit reports for regional payroll teams.
- Implement WECI (Workday Extend Core Integration) solutions to support payroll vendor integrations with required data transformations.
- Work extensively with Core Connector Worker and Core Connector Benefits to integrate Workday with downstream applications.
- Develop Workday Studio integrations including bulk hire solutions (e.g., contingent worker hiring) and complex transformation logic.
- Build and expose RaaS (Report-as-a-Service) endpoints and APIs for external systems to consume Workday data.
- Configure and manage REST and SOAP APIs for seamless communication between Workday and external systems.
- Develop custom APIs to interact with Workday for operations such as:
- Updating worker contact information
- Creating and updating positions
- Managing learning enrollments
- Implement SFTP-based integrations and dynamically manage file transfers based on vendor requirements.
- Develop integrations for Workday Learning module, including enrollment data exchange via APIs.
- Implement email ingestion solutions to integrate Workday Help cases with external systems (e.g., Outlook-based case creation).
- Perform integration migrations, regression testing, and deployments as part of Workday monthly/bi-annual releases.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration failures, performance issues, and data inconsistencies.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across all integration touchpoints.
- Implement data cleansing and deduplication strategies to maintain accurate worker records.
- Support system-wide updates such as rebranding activities (domain names, email updates, etc.).
- 15 years of IT experience with strong expertise in Workday HCM Development.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Workday Integrations (EIB, Studio, Core Connectors)
- PECI, WECI integrations
- Workday Web Services (SOAP & REST APIs)
- RaaS and API-based integrations
- Strong experience integrating Workday with payroll systems and third-party vendors.
- Expertise in data transformation, XML, XSLT, and integration frameworks.
- Experience with SFTP, middleware, and file-based integrations.
- Solid understanding of Workday Core HCM and related modules.
- Experience supporting Workday releases, migrations, and production support.
