We are hiring a Web Manager to start immediately for a global electronic manufacturing company.

• This is a Direct Hire position, up to 160k/year on W2
• Hybrid on site, 3 days in office in Brea, and 2 days remote
• You will be managing and leading the entire dev team, with front end developers and back end developers
• Need someone with strong experience with PHP/Magento, the company might be moving away from Magento down the road, so any experience with shopify will be nice to have
• Need someone with AI experience
• You will be doing 70% people management and 30% coding; you will be doing a lot of troubleshooting, and be that final escalation point of any website issues with Magento/PHP
  
  

The Web Manager is primarily responsible for ensuring peak site performance and delivering a best-in-class UX/UI experience across Company's global digital properties. You will lead technical and creative initiatives to streamline the end-user journey for both B2B and B2C (Direct-to-Consumer) audiences, ensuring our platforms are fast, intuitive, and highly reliable.

Secondarily, you will lead efforts to enhance site visibility through technical SEO and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) to ensure our brand remains at the forefront of AI-driven search trends. As a senior technical leader, you will be the steward of our web infrastructure, overseeing critical platform and database migrations to support Company's long-term growth and visual technology leadership.

Day to Day Responsibilities

Strategic & Technical Leadership:

• Vision & Roadmap: Develop and execute a long-term roadmap for the website that prioritizes overall site performance, visibility, and technical excellence across B2B and B2C segments.
• Next-Gen Optimization: Lead technical SEO and GEO initiatives, collaborating closely with Marketing to ensure the site is optimized for AI driven search behaviors through improvements to site architecture, Core Web Vitals, and content findability.
• AI Implementation & Learning: Stay current with shifting web development paradigms to maintain Company's competitive edge.
• Platform Optimization: Provide hands-on leadership within the PHP and Magento ecosystem, ensuring the platform is technically optimized for global performance and scalability.
• Migration Management: Direct-lead web platform and database migrations, ensuring data integrity, minimal downtime, and the preservation of performance equity during transitions.
• Global Strategic Alignment: Collaborate closely with global web and IT teams on key strategic initiatives to ensure brand consistency, share best practices, and align on shared technological goals.
  
  

Team & Project Management:

• Cross-Functional Leadership: Mentor a team of frontend/backend developers and UX/UI designers to deliver high-quality web projects that align with both brand consistency and conversion goals.
• Business Integration: Translate complex business objectives into technical requirements, acting as the bridge between Marketing, Sales (B2B/B2C), and IT.
• Pipeline Oversight: Manage the project pipeline to ensure features and content updates are delivered on time, focusing on maximizing organic visibility and user engagement.
  
  

Performance & Operations:

• Health & Analytics: Monitor and report on overall web performance, including organic traffic, keyword rankings, and technical crawlability, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
• Quality Standards: Establish operational procedures for code quality and site maintenance, ensuring a stable and secure environment for all digital transactions.
  
  

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree in a web-related field (Web Design, Digital Media, or Computer Science).
• 8 to 10 years of experience in web development, design, and administration, with a proven track record in both B2B and B2C environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with PHP, Magento and other e-commerce environments is essential.
• Deep familiarity with the evolving AI coding landscape
• Demonstrated experience in successfully managing complex site and database migrations and platform upgrades.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and familiarity with AJAX, DHTML, and various scripting languages.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to lead technical teams and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
