The Wave / Select Solder Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining wave and selective soldering equipment to ensure high-quality soldering of electronic assemblies. This role plays a key part in supporting production efficiency while meeting quality and safety standards.

- Set up and operate wave and selective solder machines according to work instructions and production schedules
- Load and unload printed circuit boards (PCBs) into soldering equipment
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper solder flow and quality
- Inspect soldered assemblies for defects such as bridging, insufficient solder, or cold joints
- Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning and basic troubleshooting of equipment
- Verify materials, flux levels, and solder pot conditions prior to operation
- Document production data, defects, and machine performance as required
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work closely with quality and engineering teams to resolve process issues
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to follow written work instructions and technical documentation
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-3 years of experience in electronics manufacturing preferred
- Experience operating wave or selective solder equipment preferred
- IPC-A-610 certification preferred (or ability to obtain after hire)
- J-STD-001 certification preferred (or ability to obtain after hire)
