Trigyn's direct government client has an immediate need for a Test/QA Lead in Albany, NY.
Description:
This position will work closely with the third-party vendor, program staff, and business analyst to develop and execute test plans for application upgrades, application software releases, and interface changes. Work with the third-party vendor to develop new/update existing and maintain all documents related to NYS data systems and support User Acceptance Testing. Work closely with the Software Manager and Business Analyst on active/pending projects, primarily the system updates, including software releases. Test data scripts and assist the program area with performing User Acceptance Testing of the vendor supplied solution.
Administrative Tasks: Attend and participate in meetings, prepare a weekly report, complete timecard daily.

Mandatory Qualification:
- Conducts automated and manual tests to ensure that the software created/upgraded performs as necessary and meets the user requirements. Develops and maintains user and technical documentation and project process documentation for application teams. Understands the view of applications and/or technology and is able to put procedures in a logical sequence.
- Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
- 84 Months experience planning, designing, developing, and executing test strategies.
- 84 Months experience creating test plans, test reports, and defect management using industry-standard tools to identify, document, communicate, prioritize, track, and resolve problems.
- 84 Months experience in Functional Testing using functional testing tools.
- 72 Months experience as a Test/QA Lead. Experience must detail team leadership, working with business analysts, business and technical subject matter experts, using Test/QA best practices.
- 48 Months experience in creating user test scripts and managing User Acceptance Testing.
- 36 Months experience with Performance and stress testing using performance testing software.
- 36 Months experience with planning and implementing automated, data exchange between internal and external systems.
- 36 Months experience with automated functional testing. Response must detail use of specific automation tools and any processes used to mitigate test cases from manual testing to automation.
- 24 Months experience testing insurance claiming or case management applications.
- Candidate has a bachelor's degree in an Information Technology related field.
- Candidate has a certification in Quality Insurance.
