Job Duties:
- Manage the planning and execution of MIL-STD 2106 stage 4 and 5 test procedures development and test execution projects for shipboard C5ISR systems including commercial communications and network systems.
- Communicate all key test program plans, commitments, and changes to cross functional teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with program priorities.
- Assess systems status to support formal testing through Test Readiness Reviews.
- Document test failures, perform Root Cause Analysis, proactively identify risks and mitigate impacts to project plan and propose solutions for corrective action and risk mitigation.
- Identify potential testing improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness with focus on modular testing, test automation, and integration of industry testing methodologies.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelors and five (5) years or more relevant experience .
- Experience with MIL-STD-2106 Development of Shipboard Industrial Test procedures and utilizing industry standards (eg IEEE 829, ISO 29119) for testing commercial grade systems.
- Experience with one or more shipboard C5ISR systems and/or commercial communications/network systems such as: radio communication racks (UHF, HF, VHF, EHF), Interior Communications (Alarm/Saferty/Warning), shipboard CGOne/Unclassified/SIPRNET LANs, Surface Search Radar, Navigation Data Distribution systems, Integrated Bridge System, commercial communications and networks including fiber optics and IP-based systems
- Must have an active secret clearance on first day of employment
- Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) IA Level II certification (eg Security certification, CSSIP or equivalent)
- Proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, reporting and communication.
- Proficiency using Autocad for review of system diagrams.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with individuals in person, on phone and in written mediums.
- Previous test director experience with C4ISR or C5ISR.
- Demonstrated experience supporting projects in shipyard environments, including testing system integration and installation aboard naval or commercial vessels
- Familiarity with testing commercial systems that align with shipboard platforms, including IP based communication suites and smart sensor systems.
