Key Responsibilities:
- Develop test plans, procedures, and specifications to evaluate design feasibility and product performance
- Conduct confirmation and validation testing for electrical parts and components within assigned specialty area
- Set up, calibrate, and prepare test equipment and environments for moderately complex testing activities
- Create and manage test data settings, schedules, and documentation standards
- Execute testing activities and ensure accuracy, completeness, and repeatability of test results
- Analyze and interpret test data to predict performance, identify failure modes, and assess design robustness
- Document and summarize test findings in technical reports and formal presentations
- Identify design issues and propose countermeasures or design modifications based on test outcomes
- Collaborate with design, development, and cross-functional engineering teams to resolve technical issues
- Ensure all testing aligns with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations
- Determine need for additional testing based on results and engineering judgment
- 3 6 years of test engineering experience in automotive or related engineering field
- Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering (BS in EE required)
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and test methodologies
- Experience developing and executing test procedures for electrical components/systems
- Ability to analyze technical data and translate results into actionable engineering recommendations
- Experience preparing technical documentation and presenting findings to engineering teams
- Familiarity with test equipment setup, data acquisition systems, and validation processes
- Experience in automotive electrical systems testing
- Knowledge of regulatory and internal validation standards
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to identify root cause and countermeasures
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Role requires strong attention to detail and disciplined documentation practices
- Candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced engineering development environment
