Description
Our client is seeking a Telecommunications Project Manager to join their team in Columbia, MD! Our client offers cutting edge engineering solutions for communication companies, wireless carriers, and tower owners nationwide. Colliers has expanded their traditional customer base in the local market and is looking to backfill their current Telecommunications PM locally.
This is an engineering position with PM duties! Candidates should have an in-depth knowledge in A&E engineering including design review (AutoCAD Civil 3D), drafting, MACRO roof top sites, structural engineering, structural analysis, TELCO D markings, deliverables, project plans, job setup, costs, labor, BOM, MOP, SOW, RFPs, PNL, etc.
Day to day can include but is not limited to
Manage projects and clients as primary point of contact (main client is Verizon).
Review advanced engineering designs and/or technical data for completion and accuracy.
Responsible for the quality control/quality assurance process on all assigned projects.
Participates in formulating and coordinating proposals and provide other marketing and business development support.
Identify and develop opportunities with existing and potential clients.
Negotiate with clients on any scope changes relative to project budgets and schedules subject to supervisors' approval.
Responsible for meeting predetermined goals on productivity targets and financial aspects of projects including profit, unbilled, accounts receivable, and direct the Project Accounting team on project invoicing.
***Holding a PE is a huge plus but is not needed***
Candidates should also be open to business development efforts, sales, professional communication with end clients to help acquire new business. Candidates should also be open to travel within the DMV (not often) and can use a company vehicle for travel or mileage reimbursement.

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering and/or experience in related field is required.
7 years of experience in related field.
PE license is preferred not needed.
Valid driver's license required to complete site visits as needed.
Basic understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D for design review.
Strong understanding of RFDs, structural, zoning and construction drawings, in addition to a strong understanding of the assembly of telecom plans.
Demonstrate advanced technical and non-technical writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $154000.00/yr.
