- Strong understanding of EHR systems and security concepts.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and HITECH.
- Experience with Active Directory, Single Sign-On (SSO), and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Familiarity with healthcare IT infrastructure including networking and database security.
- Minimum 3 years of IT experience.
- Experience managing EHR access control and security configurations.
- Experience working with identity management and user provisioning processes.
- Experience with Cerner/OHPAC environments is preferred.
- Manage and maintain EHR position definitions, including access roles and security groups.
- Monitor and enforce appropriate user access based on roles and job functions.
- Assist in defining and automating user provisioning and offboarding processes.
- Conduct internal security audits to identify risks and vulnerabilities.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Respond to and investigate EHR-related security incidents.
- Collaborate with IT, security, and EHR teams to implement secure solutions.
- Monitor user behavior using security tools to identify trends and potential threats.
- Support internal and external audits related to EHR systems.
- Participate in system upgrades, security patches, and maintenance activities.
- Stay updated on emerging threats, technologies, and regulatory changes.
- Knowledge of Discern and CCL.
- Experience with tools like P2Sentinel for monitoring user activity.
- EHR security and access management.
- Identity and access management (IAM).
- Security auditing and compliance.
- Incident response and troubleshooting.
- Communication and stakeholder collaboration.
- Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
