Job Description:
- The Project Planning and Forecasting Analyst is responsible for driving project scoping and resource forecasting, designing and developing small-scale solutions, and creating tools and models to support project planning and allocation.
- The role includes collaborating with business units to finalize project funding, maintaining consistency between team allocation and corporate planning databases, and developing software tools and interfaces for data visualization and reporting.
- Bachelor s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
- Programming skills in high-level languages such as VBA or Python.
- Experience managing data in databases (SQL).
- At least 5 years of experience in project planning and forecasting.
- Strong communication skills to engage with stakeholders and external teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.
- Project scoping and resource allocation.
- Developing models for project estimates using programming languages.
- Front-end development for data visualization and reporting is a plus.
- Maintaining planning consistency across teams and corporate-wide databases.
- Drive scoping activities to determine human resources and hardware requirements for new projects.
- Participate in project scoping reviews and deliver presentations explaining project estimates.
- Run allocation reports, analyze data, and explain variances.
- Collaborate with business units to finalize project funding.
- Allocate work to resources based on scoping data and other activities.
- Maintain alignment between team work allocation and corporate planning database.
- Design small-scale, flexible solutions and algorithms based on business requirements.
- Implement solutions based on approved designs.
