Job Summary
Fidelity is seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer to join the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Production Services team. This role focuses on production support, incident management, and maintaining highly scalable distributed systems supporting critical financial applications.
You will work in a fast-paced environment supporting trading, portfolio management, and investment systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 production support for applications and batch processes
- Troubleshoot application (70%) and batch (30%) issues
- Monitor system performance using tools like Splunk, Datadog, Prometheus
- Analyze logs, alerts, and system behavior to resolve incidents
- Work with development teams to deploy fixes into production
- Support on-call rotation (weekdays/weekends)
- Ensure system availability, scalability, and reliability
- Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions
- 8–10 years of experience in Production Support / SRE
- Strong experience with AWS cloud (support & operations)
- Expertise in Oracle Database and PL/SQL (procedures, triggers, queries)
- Experience with monitoring tools (Splunk, Datadog, Prometheus)
- Strong Linux/Unix experience
- Hands-on experience with Shell scripting or Python
- Experience troubleshooting distributed systems and batch jobs
- Experience with AutoSys or batch scheduling tools
- Knowledge of financial services domain
- Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps practices
- 12-hour shift coverage model
- Occasional evening/weekend support (on-call rotation)
- Hybrid work model
