Duration: Contract opportunity, with potential to extend
Schedule: Monday-Friday (8AM-5PM)
Location: Seattle, Washington
This role will be responsible for infrastructure operations, cloud and identity management, networking, and security compliance, while also contributing to ongoing system improvements and documentation.

Robert Half Technology is seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to support and maintain a mixed Linux and Windows infrastructure in a dynamic, multi-environmental client.

Location: Seattle, Washington
This role will be responsible for infrastructure operations, cloud and identity management, networking, and security compliance, while also contributing to ongoing system improvements and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Windows server environments
- Manage Microsoft 365 tenant, including Exchange Online, Entra ID (Azure AD), Conditional Access, and endpoint policies
- Support and maintain network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, and segmentation
- Perform storage administration and support ongoing infrastructure projects
- Manage patching, system updates, and vulnerability remediation across servers and endpoints
- Support security and compliance initiatives, including documentation, access control, and audit readiness
- Administer source control systems and assist with migrations as needed
- Respond to helpdesk tickets and provide end-user support across multiple environments
- Maintain and improve technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical system support
- Strong Linux systems administration experience (RHEL and/or Ubuntu)
- Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Entra ID/Azure AD, Teams)
- Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls)
- Scripting experience (Bash, Python, and/or PowerShell)
- Strong written communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Must meet work authorization requirements tied to compliance standards
- Experience with enterprise firewall administration (e.g., Juniper SRX or similar)
- Storage administration experience (e.g., NetApp or comparable platforms)
- Cloud experience with Azure and/or AWS
- Familiarity with security/compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, CMMC, ITAR)
- Endpoint management experience (e.g., Intune or similar tools)
- Experience supporting high-performance or distributed compute environments
- Exposure to job scheduling or workload automation tools
