Key Responsibilities
- System Maintenance & Support
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and applications.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
- Apply patches, updates, and security fixes regularly.
- Network Administration
- Manage LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks.
- Ensure network security and optimize connectivity.
- Monitor bandwidth usage and resolve connectivity issues.
- Security & Compliance
- Implement and enforce IT security policies.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Conduct regular backups and disaster recovery testing.
- Monitoring & Reporting
- Use monitoring tools to track system health and performance.
- Generate reports on system usage, incidents, and improvements.
- User Support & Training
- Provide technical support to employees across departments.
- Train staff on IT best practices and security awareness.
- Continuous Improvement
- Research and recommend new technologies to enhance efficiency.
- Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems, virtualization, and cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and security practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network , Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, Cisco CCNA) are a plus.
