Job Description:
- Provide operational support for 600 Windows Servers (Windows Server 2016 and newer) and 120 SUSE Linux servers (SLES 12 and SLES 15), including patching, performance monitoring, and ensuring service availability.
- Manage and upgrade VMware VCenter (v7 ) and 40 ESXi hosts.
- Administer Omnissa Horizon VDI pools and Remote Desktop Services (RDS).
- Handle Tier 3 escalations and resolve complex incidents and requests.
- Perform root-cause analysis and service restoration using tools for backup, restore, failover, log interpretation, and performance monitoring.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for system administration tasks to meet security and compliance requirements.
- Manage and upgrade Dell EMC Unity storage arrays.
- Collaborate with development, security, and project teams to implement new systems and services.
- Create automation scripts and processes to improve scalability and efficiency.
- 5-7 years as a System Administrator with deep expertise in Windows Server 2016 or newer.
- 5 years managing and troubleshooting Linux environments, specifically SUSE Linux (SLES 12 and SLES 15) at scale.
- Hands-on experience with VMware environments and storage arrays, including VCenter, ESXi hosts, and Dell EMC Unity systems.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft enterprise technologies (Active Directory, GPO, DHCP, DNS, DFS, Print Services, File Shares).
- Ability to write advanced PowerShell automation scripts.
- Experience administering Omnissa/VMware Horizon VDI.
- Familiarity with Cisco UCS hardware and SAN storage solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
