Client need a System Architect to support their Benefit Connect pension administration platform and work with both CalSTRS staff and a third-party vendor. The architect''s role is to review technical designs, identify risks, assess architecture decisions, guide implementation, and ensure projects follow architecture standards and SDLC best practices.
Minimum Requirements (must-have)
The proposed consultant must have:
12 years in IT/IS roles such as Enterprise Architect, System Architect, Solution Architect, Technical Lead, or Software Designer/Developer.
10 years working with SDLC methodologies and enterprise IT standards.
5 years working with pension/retirement systems in large organizations.
5 years as a System Architect on SOA-based large/complex projects.
A Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, or a related field.
Strongly preferred
Extra points if the candidate has:
Experience working with State agencies.
Experience overseeing third-party system integrators/vendors.
Enterprise architecture experience.
Knowledge of compliance and regulations.
Ability to work in a hybrid model in West Sacramento, CA
