We are seeking a Sr. Product Development Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the new development and improvement of our products. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking scientific advancements. As a Sr. Product Development Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Leading the design and development of new products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance.
- Utilizing SolidWorks to create detailed product designs and specifications.
- Overseeing the entire product development process, from initial concept through to final production.
- Implementing design improvements to enhance the functionality, performance, and cost-effectiveness of existing products.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure product objectives are achieved.
- Conducting comprehensive data analysis to identify potential areas for product improvement, and developing innovative solutions to address these.
- Ensuring all product development activities comply with industry regulations and standards.
- Presenting product designs and progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Staying abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and competitive products to inform product development strategies.
The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or a related field. A Master's Degree will be highly regarded.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in product development within the scientific industry.
- Proven experience with SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software.
- Strong experience in design improvement and new product development.
- Excellent data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a creative and innovative approach to product development.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information to a variety of audiences.
- A solid understanding of medical device regulations and standards.
- A strong team player, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
