Short Job Description – Sr. Network Engineer

Location: Chicago, IL / Dallas, TX (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite)

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer with strong expertise in network architecture, governance, and cloud infrastructure within a highly regulated environment. The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end network lifecycle management, including design, deployment, compliance, and operations across on-prem and cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure (routing, switching, firewalls, cloud)
• Lead network governance, policy compliance (NIST, COBIT), and audit support
• Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Python
• Architect and manage cloud environments (AWS preferred, Azure/Google Cloud Platform acceptable)
• Oversee network security solutions (NAC, DNS/IPAM, load balancing, DDoS mitigation)
• Manage risk, vulnerability remediation, and compliance audits
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on complex network initiatives
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and on-call support
  
  

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in regulated environments (NIST/COBIT frameworks)
• Hands-on experience with AWS and Infrastructure as Code
• Advanced networking expertise (firewalls, NAC, DNS/IPAM, NTP, load balancing)
• Automation & DevOps tools (Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub, Python)

• Cisco (IOS/NX-OS), CCNP/CCIE
• GRC tools (Archer), CIS benchmarks, IT audit knowledge
• AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect / DevOps / Networking / Security)
