DevSecOps Engineer – AWS GovCloud (Federal Project)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled DevSecOps Engineer to support a Federal Reserve Board (FRB) project focused on building and deploying a cloud-native application in AWS GovCloud. This role requires strong expertise in cloud infrastructure, security, and CI/CD within a federal/compliance-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, scalable AWS GovCloud infrastructure
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with integrated security controls
• Ensure compliance with FedRAMP, FISMA, and NIST standards
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting (CloudWatch, Splunk)
• Manage multi-environment setups (Dev, Test, Staging, Prod)
• Identify and mitigate security risks across the application lifecycle
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 5 years of experience in DevOps / Cloud Engineering
• 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS
• 1 year of experience in AWS GovCloud
• Strong experience with Terraform (IaC)
• Proficiency in Python or Bash scripting
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab preferred)
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS
• Experience with CloudWatch or similar monitoring tools
• Understanding of IAM, networking, and cloud security best practices
  
  

Nice to Have

• Experience with Splunk or Xacta 360
• Prior Federal/Government project experience
• Familiarity with NIST 800.53 / FISMA compliance
