Technical Leadership & Architecture
- Act as a technical lead for AI engineering initiatives and own design decisions for complex AI solutions
- Define reference architectures, reusable patterns, and AI development “golden paths”
- Review and approve AI solution designs for alignment with platform and governance standards
- Design and implement production-grade AI services and pipelines (batch and real-time)
- Deploy models as scalable services (APIs, jobs, agents) with SLAs, monitoring, and alerting
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production AI system issues
- Embed governance directly into engineering workflows including:
- Security and access controls
- Data classification and handling
- Model risk management
- Privacy and consent controls
- Responsible AI practices
- Auditability and traceability
- Partner with risk, compliance, and architecture teams to ensure regulatory alignment
- Implement GenAI patterns including RAG, embeddings, semantic search, and agents
- Ensure governed access to approved data sources
- Define evaluation and monitoring for GenAI outputs
- Build automated ML/LLM delivery pipelines (train, evaluate, approve, deploy)
- Establish model versioning and reproducibility standards
- Improve time-to-production through automation and governance
- Mentor engineers and elevate AI engineering best practices
- Contribute to documentation, standards, and knowledge sharing
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 8 years of cloud engineering experience
- 5 years building AI/ML systems
- Strong Python and SQL proficiency
- Hands-on experience deploying AI solutions in cloud environments (Azure required, Google Cloud Platform preferred)
- Experience with production-grade AI systems (reliability, scalability, observability, security)
- Experience working in regulated industries (financial services, banking, healthcare, etc.)
- Knowledge of model risk management and audit requirements
- Experience with enterprise MLOps / LLMOps tooling
- Experience designing AI platform capabilities (not just individual models)
