Join us in an exciting and rewarding role as a Senior Accountant in the wine industry! We are a leading player in the manufacturing industry, dedicated to producing exceptional wines. Our company is looking for a seasoned professional who has a passion for accounting and finance in the wine industry. This is a permanent, full-time position that requires the candidate to work onsite. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial analysis, cost accounting, general ledger, insurance renewals, production costs, and federal and state excise taxes across multiple entities.

This is a permanent, full-time position that requires the candidate to work onsite. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial analysis, cost accounting, general ledger, insurance renewals, production costs, and federal and state excise taxes across multiple entities.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in our financial operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the accounting operations of various entities, specifically their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures.
- Managing all aspects of the general ledger, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Conducting complex financial analysis to highlight key business issues, performance indicators, and decision points.
- Handling insurance renewals and managing federal and state excise taxes.
- Analyzing production costs and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Utilizing NetSuite software for financial management and operations.
- Developing and maintaining financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
- Forecasting and planning future financial activities for the company.
The ideal candidate for this position should have the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in the wine industry.
- Extensive experience in managing multiple entities and dealing with complex financial analysis.
- Proficiency in cost accounting and managing general ledger.
- Experience with insurance renewals and managing federal and state excise taxes.
- Proficiency in using NetSuite software or equivalent financial management software.
- Strong forecasting abilities and strategic planning skills.
- Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
