SolidWorks PDM Administrator / Application Support Analyst
Location: Milwaukee Area (Local Candidates Only)
Type: Contract-to-Hire
Salary: $90,000 - $100,000
We're hiring a SolidWorks PDM Administrator to take ownership of a well-established environment and support engineering teams across multiple locations. This role offers strong knowledge transfer from a long-tenured SME and the opportunity to lead an upcoming upgrade to SolidWorks 2026.
Key Responsibilities
5 years of experience supporting and administering SolidWorks in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience with SolidWorks application support, including diagnosing issues related to assemblies, files, and system usage.
Working knowledge of PDMLink or similar product data management platforms used alongside engineering applications.
Ability to support users across multiple sites while maintaining consistent service and communication.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills in a technical support setting.
Clear communication skills with the ability to work effectively with engineering, design, and manufacturing teams.
Familiarity with AutoCAD and related engineering design tools.
Must be based locally in or near Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Key Responsibilities
- Own and administer the SolidWorks PDM environment end-to-end
- Support engineering and design users across multiple sites, including an international location
- Troubleshoot complex SolidWorks issues (assemblies, files, vault structures)
- Support and contribute to the SolidWorks 2023 - 2026 upgrade
- Manage user access, workflows, permissions, and system configurations
- Provide hands-on application support and end-user training
- Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve system performance and usage
- SolidWorks PDM administration experience
- SolidWorks application support experience
- CAD experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Strong troubleshooting skills with CAD assemblies and file issues
- Experience supporting multiple users/locations
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Must be local to the Milwaukee area
- Spanish language skills HUGE PLUS
- Experience supporting international teams
- SolidWorks upgrade experience
- CAD design background
- Manufacturing industry experience
