Our Team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Regional team, is constantly engineering, developing and integrating new capabilities for the U.S. Missile Defense System. protecting both the United States and its allies. The Work:
The C2BMC-Regional Application Agile Release Train is seeking a Software Engineer that will thrive in a fast paced team environment in the design, development, and testing of the C2BMC applications. Common responsibilities of a software engineer on the RA ART team include:
Design and develop new Java applications; Maintain existing Java applications
Support software testing and resolution of issues from multiple baselines
Generate software design artifacts and support design and code reviews

Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience.
Must currently hold an ACTIVE DoD Final Secret Security Clearance to be considered for this position.
Experience in full life cycle software development of Java-based applications in a Unix/Linux platform environment.
Experience developing software in a structured, process-based integrated team environment.
Experience utilizing configuration management tools in the development of software (e.g. Git/Gitlab/etc.).
Understanding of standard system engineering design artifacts such as System requirements, Use Cases, and SysML diagrams.
Security or equivalent certification may be required within 60 days of starting
Desired Skills
Experience in design and development of Java applications.
Experience in developing new capabilities into a legacy SW system.
Experience In SW Analysis Against Performance Requirements.
Experience in optimizing software applications for performance.
Experience in development of complex mathematical algorithms from whitepapers or algorithm design documentation.
Experience resolving cyber/security issues identified by Fortify/SonarQube/etc.
CICD development experience

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $93,200 - $164,450. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
