Database Infrastructure Engineer (Python-Focused)
This is a Level 4 role (5 years experience) for a Database Infrastructure Engineer specializing in Python, supporting enterprise technology services (not wealth management). The position is hybrid in Alpharetta, with 3 days onsite, and is a 1-year contract with possible extension.
The role focuses on combining infrastructure and application development. The engineer will act primarily as an application developer, responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying data pipelines and applications on Snowflake and PostgreSQL platforms.
Designing and deploying data pipelines on Snowflake and Postgres
Developing, testing, and deploying applications and prototypes using Python (preferred) and Java
Validating and testing Snowflake feature sets, including Snowflake AI, and ensuring they are certified, user-friendly, and aligned with investment banking starndards.
Supporting internal clients during development and deployment
Using UNIX/Linux scripting (nice to have)
Hands-on Experience With Snowflake (certification Is Required)
Clear explanation in the resume of how and where tools were used in recent projects (resumes without this will be rejected)
Experience in the financial services domain is a strong plus
Candidates with both Python and Java will be prioritized
Preference for candidates with long-term project experience, fewer short consulting engagements, and the ability to clear background checks quickly
