- Strong experience in Smalltalk programming
- Solid understanding of OOP concepts and SDLC
- Good communication skills for client interaction
- Nice to have: PL/SQL, Java, GitHub, UNIX, Insurance domain knowledge
- Design and develop applications using Smalltalk with MVC architecture
- Analyze and understand legacy Smalltalk systems, documenting functionality based on class structures
- Convert business requirements into technical designs
- Support application migration activities and validate functionality against Java implementations
- Compare Smalltalk and Java code post-migration for accuracy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve system performance
- Provide technical guidance and ensure smooth communication with stakeholders
