We are looking for an experienced SharePoint Administrator to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Draper, Utah. This position involves managing and enhancing the security, governance, and administration of Microsoft 365 tools, with a particular focus on Microsoft Purview. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SharePoint administration and a proactive approach to addressing existing gaps while preparing for future development initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Administer SharePoint environments, ensuring proper access controls, permissions, and security configurations.
Leverage Microsoft Purview to strengthen data governance, compliance, and security across Microsoft 365 platforms such as SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Entra ID.
Collaborate with external teams to resolve current issues in the SharePoint environment and implement necessary remediation measures.
Conduct thorough analyses to identify opportunities for improving SharePoint functionality and security.
Work closely with internal teams to prepare the environment for upcoming development and governance enhancements.
Monitor and manage administrative configurations, addressing any gaps in governance and security.
Provide expert guidance to support ongoing initiatives aimed at modernizing collaboration tools within the organization.
Ensure seamless integration between SharePoint and other Microsoft 365 services, optimizing their functionality and security.
Create and maintain documentation for administrative processes, security protocols, and governance standards.
Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies to continuously improve the SharePoint environment.
Requirements
At least 7-10 years of hands-on experience in SharePoint administration.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with Microsoft Purview at an administrative level.
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft 365 services, including Teams, OneDrive, and Entra ID.
Proven ability to identify and resolve gaps in governance, security, and administrative configurations.
Strong understanding of data governance and compliance principles within Microsoft 365.
Demonstrated experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
Ability to create detailed documentation for processes and protocols.
Proficiency in managing Active Directory integrations within Microsoft 365 environments.
