Job Description:
Sharepoint Admin - Mid/Sr. Level
Onsite in Atlanta- 3 days a week.
Platform Administration & Operations
- Manage and maintain SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint Server environments, including site collections, permissions, content databases, and service applications.
- Monitor system health, performance, and capacity; proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Execute routine maintenance tasks such as patching, updates, and configuration changes.
- Support integration with Microsoft 365 services (Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform).
- Work directly with SharePoint architects to implement design decisions, configuration standards, and governance frameworks.
- Assist in the migration of content from legacy systems to modern SharePoint platforms.
- Validate architectural designs through testing, documentation, and operational readiness activities.
- Provide technical input on information architecture, taxonomy, metadata, and site structure.
- Enforce governance policies for site provisioning, permissions, lifecycle management, and content retention.
- Support compliance requirements relevant to the utility sector (e.g., NERC/CIP, SOX, internal audit controls).
- Manage user access, security groups, and role-based permissions.
- Ensure adherence to data protection and regulatory standards.
- Serve as a technical point of contact for SharePoint-related issues, requests, and escalations.
- Provide guidance to business users on best practices, site management, and content organization.
- Support training initiatives and contribute to knowledge base documentation.
- Leverage PowerShell, Power Automate, and administrative tools to streamline operations.
- Identify opportunities to improve performance, reduce manual effort, and enhance user experience.
- Assist in developing dashboards or reports for usage, adoption, and system health.
- 3-7 years of experience administering SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint Server.
- Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture components, site structures, and service applications.
- Proficiency with PowerShell for SharePoint administration.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale environments, ideally within utilities or other regulated industries.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Azure AD, Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform).
