Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Vulnerability Management Remediation Lead to drive enterprise-wide vulnerability remediation efforts from identification through closure in McKinney, TX.
Summary:
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role where you will actively lead patching, remediation campaigns, and cross-team coordination to ensure vulnerabilities are resolved within SLA. You will be responsible for pushing remediation efforts forward, removing blockers, and holding teams accountable for outcomes.

Responsibilities:
- Lead vulnerability remediation efforts using enterprise patching and endpoint management tools
- Drive vulnerabilities from identification through remediation, validation, and closure
- Own remediation timelines and ensure SLA adherence
- Escalate critical and aging vulnerabilities and remove blockers
- Partner with infrastructure, application, and cloud teams to ensure accountability
- Manage patching campaigns, maintenance windows, and emergency deployments
- Validate remediation through rescans and compliance checks
- Track and report metrics such as MTTR, SLA compliance, and vulnerability aging
- Provide executive-level updates on risk posture and remediation progress
- Lead response efforts for critical and zero-day vulnerabilities
- 5 years of experience in vulnerability management, patching, or systems engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with enterprise patching tools (Tanium preferred)
- Experience with vulnerability scanning platforms (Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7)
- Strong Windows and/or Linux systems background
- Proven ability to drive remediation efforts across multiple teams
- Understanding of vulnerability risk scoring and prioritization
- Experience presenting technical risk to leadership
- Knowledge of enterprise change management processes
- Experience with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow)
- Automation or scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
- Familiarity with security frameworks (CIS, NIST)
- Experience in large enterprise environments
