The Senior Systems Administrator will manage and support the organization's on-prem infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization, and backup systems. This individual will serve as a Senior escalation point for complex issues, contribute to operational stability, and lead or support infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments (2012-2022).
- Manage VMware virtualization across ~800 virtual servers and ~1,000 virtual desktops.
- Oversee enterprise storage systems (Pure Storage) and backup environments supporting ~1 PB of data.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Tier III escalations, including application slowness, system outages, and storage performance issues.
- Collaborate with network, telephony, application analysts, and end users-including physicians and clinical staff.
- Participate in infrastructure projects (30-40% of workload).
- Provide on-call support one week per month as part of a rotating schedule.
- Work onsite at the Savannah data center (Candler campus), with occasional flexibility for remote work.
- Operate with minimal direction; proactively identify issues and drive solutions independently.

- 5 years of experience in systems administration, storage, and virtualization.
- Experience with enterprise-class storage arrays and backup technologies.
- Strong VMware and Windows Server background.
- PowerShell scripting familiarity.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- At least 1-2 relevant technical certifications (VMware, Microsoft, storage-related) within the last 5 years preferred.
