Senior Salesforce Developer

Location: Boston, MA 02108 (Hybrid)

Contract | 6 Months

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Lead Salesforce Developer to design, develop, and implement customized solutions within the Salesforce platform. This role requires expertise in Salesforce architecture, API integrations, administration, and collaboration with stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective solutions. Reports directly to the Director of IT Development and collaborates with the IT Program Manager.

Responsibilities

• Technical roadmap development for system enhancements.
• Custom Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components.
• Workflow, triggers, validation rules, and process builder customization.
• Integration with internal/external systems via REST/SOAP APIs.
• Salesforce administration: user management, security, data management, automation.
• Sandbox management, metadata deployment, version control.
• Data integrity monitoring, audits, imports/exports.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Mentorship for junior developers/administrators.
• Staying current with Salesforce upgrades and best practices.
• Documentation of development and administration activities.
• Technical support and troubleshooting for users.
  
  

Qualifications

• 8 years in Salesforce Architecture & Development.
• 5 years designing complex Salesforce integrations.
• 2 years Salesforce Administration.
• Proven experience with Lightning, Apex, Visualforce, SOQL/SOSL, APIs.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture and data model.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Copado).
• Salesforce developer/administrator certifications preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  
  

Additional Skills/Experience

• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and other methodologies.
• Salesforce Government Cloud experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Office (pivot tables, charts, Visio).
• Data analytics and project management tools (JIRA).
• Experience with Snowflake, Mulesoft, Informatica Cloud, Tableau Cloud.
