Responsibilities:
- Perform manual API testing using Postman to ensure high-quality system functionality
- Manage and track stories and defects in JIRA for effective test case execution
- Utilize Octane (or similar tools like HP ALM) to manage test cases and test execution
- Write and execute SQL queries to validate data integrity and support testing activities
- Gain deep expertise in ordering or fraud systems, eventually becoming the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in one of these domains
- Take ownership of test initiatives and drive continuous improvements in testing processes
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, advocating for quality best practices
- Display strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach in identifying and resolving defects
- 5 years of experience in manual software testing with a focus on APIs
- Proficiency in JIRA for test management and defect tracking
- Experience using Postman for API testing
- Strong understanding of SQL for database validation
- Hands-on experience with Octane or similar tools (e.g., HP ALM)
- This role requires expertise in manual testing, defect management
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to take initiative and lead in testing efforts
- Strong analytical skills and natural curiosity to identify potential issues proactively
- The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, initiative, and leadership potential
- Experience in the telecommunications industry
- Prior knowledge of fraud or ordering systems
- Some automation experience is a plus, but not a primary focus
