Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• Primary Skill: Senior Product Owner (Data Governance, Data Protection & Data Management).
• Secondary: Banking Domain Knowledge in American Banking

Roles & Responsibilities

• Define and own theend-to-endproductvision, strategy, and roadmap for enterprise data governance, data management, and data protection capabilities.
• Translate business, security, and compliance requirements into actionable epics, features, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Prioritize and manage the product backlog coveringcataloguing, metadata, lineage, data quality, privacy, data protection, access governance, and data lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with security, privacy, legal, and compliance stakeholders to embed regulatory frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, PCI-DSS, SOX, HIPAA) into product capabilities.
• Establish and enforce data governance standards including business glossary, metadata taxonomy, data ownership, stewardship, and authoritative source definitions.
• Define andmonitordata quality metrics such as accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, and validity with automated rule checks and remediation workflows.
• Drive adoption of governance capabilities across data producers and consumers through enablement, training, communication, and operating model alignment.
• Work closely with data architects and engineering teams to ensure governance capabilities are embedded within data platforms, pipelines, and integrations.
• Oversee data lifecycle management including retention, archival, deletion, legal hold, and policy-as- code implementation across the data ecosystem.
• Use Jira to manage epics, stories, workflows, dependencies, delivery dashboards, and progress reporting.
• Communicate product progress, risks, and value delivered to leadership, stakeholders, and governance committees.
• Manage cross-functional stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment across business domains, platform teams, and data stewards.
• Evaluate and manage vendors and platforms such as Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Alation, data quality tools, MDM platforms, and security/DLP technologies.
• Ensure reliable delivery of governance features with strong definition of done, acceptance criteria, and non-functional requirements.
• Support audit preparation through evidence collection, control mapping, and verification of governance compliance.
