Responsibilities:
As the Senior Manager of Engineering, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing engineering strategies, procedures, and business plans to support the company's overall objectives.
- Leading and managing the engineering team to ensure efficient operation and meet project deadlines.
- Coordinating project schedules, resources, equipment, and information.
- Overseeing the planning and execution of capital projects, ensuring they are completed in a timely manner and within budget.
- Managing maintenance systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Liaising with stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Evaluating the performance of the engineering team and conducting regular performance reviews.
- Identifying training needs and providing coaching and professional development opportunities for the engineering team.
- Keeping abreast of advancements in engineering and identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior engineering management role within the CPG industry.
- Proven experience in project management, scheduling, and capital projects.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance systems and their implementation.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a strategic and analytical mindset.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in using project management software.
