Job Description:
- The Senior IT Technical Business Analyst is responsible for facilitating requirements gathering, analyzing business processes, and translating business needs into detailed functional and technical requirements.
- This role works closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to design, validate, and implement effective IT solutions while supporting change management and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and conduct process walkthroughs.
- Identify goals and pain points through gap analysis of current and future state business processes.
- Create, review, and update user stories, personas, and journey maps as required.
- Develop system use cases, flow diagrams, and mock-ups outlining functional requirements.
- Document and validate requirements with subject matter experts and produce business and functional specification documents.
- Collaborate with technical teams to design IT solutions aligned with business needs.
- Validate solutions through user acceptance testing and ensure predefined criteria are met.
- Support development of system documentation and provide recommendations for policies and procedures.
- Support change management and training activities for complex program changes.
- Monitor implemented services, conduct post-implementation reviews, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Liaise with security and privacy teams to support risk and impact assessments.
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, and status reporting.
- Experience translating business requirements into detailed technical requirements in an enterprise IT environment.
- Experience documenting user requirements, business processes, and workflows.
- Experience facilitating and managing business process development and re-engineering workshops.
- Experience with user acceptance testing, including planning, execution, and status reporting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience drafting business and technical documentation.
- Experience working within an Agile development environment.
- Demonstrated experience conducting gap analysis between legacy systems and modern solutions.
- Experience applying Agile or Hybrid methodologies, including SCRUM.
- Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders to deliver outcomes.
- Results-driven mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience using Agile tools such as JIRA.
- Knowledge of applying and interpreting legislation, regulations, policies, and standards.
- Business and technical requirements analysis.
- Agile and Hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Process modeling and documentation.
- User acceptance testing coordination.
- Stakeholder engagement and communication.
- Bachelor s degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred.
