Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive project plans in collaboration with stakeholders and delivery teams
- Lead requirements definition efforts with business and technical stakeholders
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, dependencies, and change control processes
- Ensure alignment of tasks, resources, and milestones with approved schedules and organizational standards
- Prepare and maintain project documentation in accordance with established PMO and organizational standards
- Track project progress and monitor deliverables against timelines, dependencies, and technical specifications
- Identify project risks, assess impacts, and define mitigation strategies
- Provide regular status updates, including risks and mitigation plans, to senior leadership and stakeholders
- Ensure adherence to project management methodologies, quality assurance practices, and SDLC processes
- Oversee defect tracking and testing coordination across internal and external teams
- Ensure testing activities follow defined workflows and timelines
- Submit clear and detailed documentation related to testing and defect management
- Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams to ensure clear, effective communication
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships using both formal and informal communication methods
- Support cross-functional coordination across multiple teams and vendors
- Assist in mentoring and supporting junior PMO staff
- Contribute to continuous improvement of project management practices
- Perform additional duties as assigned by PMO leadership
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience managing multiple complex, high-profile IT projects concurrently
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing large-scale applications with multiple system integrations across varied environments
- Experience with public sector, healthcare, or insurance systems is a plus
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, SDLC, and quality assurance practices
- Proficiency with project management and productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, and related tools)
- Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders with competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Proven ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Experience with conflict resolution, consensus building, and mediation
- Experience managing resources within a matrix reporting structure
- Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
