Job Title: Senior Integration Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a well-organised, results-driven Senior Integration Engineer with leadership qualities to join the Chief Technology Office. The role involves planning, architecting, designing, and implementing integration solutions aligned with organisational policies and standards, focusing on optimising IT systems and applications. A key responsibility will be supporting the Local Public Health Data Solution Project implementation.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, design, and implement middleware solutions using Mulesoft, messaging, cloud, and integration technologies.
• Design, implement, and maintain APIs (SOAP & REST).
• Collaborate with application development teams to build API capabilities, including security and policy management.
• Develop and maintain a service/API registry.
• Conduct code reviews and prepare documentation for unit tests and deployments.
• Participate in project planning, design, development, and release management activities.
• Liaise with end users, developers, system administrators, and vendors for successful implementation.
• Create and maintain task lists, documentation, and design artefacts.
• Research and incorporate new tools and techniques into standards.
  
  

Required Skills & Experience:

• 3 years of experience with Mulesoft and connectors (e.g., Salesforce).
• Experience with other integration technologies (e.g., Informatica).
• 10 years of software development experience.
• Strong expertise in Java/J2EE and Oracle OSB 12c.
• Experience with AWS services (API Gateway, AWS Glue, WAF).
• Proficiency in XML, JSON schema, TLS/SSL, encryption/signatures.
• Experience with Azure OAUTH & JWT.
• Familiarity with development tools (SVN, Git, SOAPUI, Postman).
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Strong design, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and mentoring abilities.
  
  

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 8 years of IT experience in technical roles.
• Mulesoft certification preferred.
