In this role, the Senior Frontend Engineer will work with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver valuable SaaS software solutions to our customers. Our engineers build quality into everything through automated testing, clean code, and collaboration. We practice Agile software development, are 100% cloud-based on AWS, and deeply value engineering excellence coupled with collaborative problem-solving. REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5 years of experience in frontend development with demonstrable expertise in browser-based applications
- Passion for web standards and creating user-friendly experiences
- Proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript and extensive experience with at least one major frontend framework (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js)
- Strong understanding of HTML and CSS, including semantic markup and responsive design principles
- Ability to write and maintain meaningful unit tests that support feature development using frameworks such as Jest or Cyprus
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and best practices, such as atomic commits and meaningful commit messages
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Strong understanding of web accessibility principles and best practices
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to break down complex tasks and explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical users
- Experience using modern AI coding tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to enhance productivity and code quality
- Experience with Web Components and other browser-native APIs is a plus
- Experience with Monorepos and GitHub NPM Package Repository is a plus
- Experience contributing to open-source projects is a plus
- Familiarity with .NET framework and backend technologies is a plus
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes is a plus
- Proficient with macOS is a plus
